30 Day Blog Challenge - Days 17-22 : Catch Up!
*Sorry for the absence. I have been a little (okay, a alot!) under the weather.
Day 17-Something you're looking forward to
After the week I have had, I'd say I'm looking most forward to feeling better! My arm and neck have been really bothering me. TOS is controlling way to much of my life! I pray that I start healing again and am able to function like a normal human being!
Day 18-Something you regret
I could go into a long spill of all the mistakes I have made in life (and believe me, they're are plenty), but what good would it do? I cannot change the past. Whats done is done, and I've learned huge lessons from every mistake. So although I can't say if i had to do it all over again, that I wouldn't change come things, but the fact is I cant do it all over again, so I'm satisfied with my first (and only) attempt at life. ;)
Day 19-Something you miss
One thing I miss greatly is my childhood home.
My father built the home for his mother (my Granny) when I was a small child. When my Granny passed away my family moved into the home. For most of my time there I had the entire upstairs to myself (my sisters were grown and had moved out). It was my safe haven. I loved sitting by the window and staring out at the lake (yep, it was on a private lake!).
I miss the littlest things about that home, like how the bathroom light would flicker 6 or so times before finally coming on. Or how my parent's bathroom had a huge Jacuzzi tub and a heater outside the tub, so I was never cold when I got out. In the office underneath the built in desk my cousins and I had written on the wood secret messages that only we knew about... I wonder if its still there?!
My parents sold the home not long after I moved out. Have you ever heard that song by Miranda Lambert, The House That Built Me? Makes me want to cry everytime!!
Day 20-Nicknames
LOR
LORN (without the e, because my nieces couldn't say it with the e)
LIL BIT (my sister called me this as a child)
VIC (my brother in law calls me this to annoy me. My middle name is Victoria)
LORNATHAN (mine and Jon's name mixed together)
Day 21-Picture of yourself
Thought I would post a childhood photo this time... This is me with my Mam-aw.
She was my great-grandmother and the most wonderful woman I ever knew.

Day 22-Favorite city
Well, I haven't traveled near as much as I wish I had, but one of the places that I did get the chance to go to and absolutely loved was....
Lexington, Kentucky!
